firstly, some drawings for my new zine (will be finished soon)...

flower

yeah, as you might be able to guess from the 1st and 3rd picture, I've been taking requests for drawing people. I have a really long list but if you fancy being a model for me just send me a picture of you or a link to your blog or something and I will see what I can do.

also, LOTS OF NEW SONGS AND STUFF. I'm basically doing a song a day at the moment, so yeah. the first one is a feminist rap type thing, which you can listen to HERE.
the second is like a I HAVE A CRUSH ON YOU LOLOLOL song. you can listen - and laugh, idk - HERE.

plastic pastels

I have recently fulfilled my wish for a NEW ERA OF STYLE (be excited, yaaay)!

A little while ago I decided to rethink my look. I'm all about the Harajuku styyyyyle now, which in my case consists of plastic things embellishing my head (hello kitty barrettes and flower crowns), pastel fluffy things (prettiness AND warmth, yay) and lots of customised vintageness.

I was inspired by pictures of the cute/scary/wacky outfits sported by Japanese guys n' dolls on the streets of Harajuku. My main aim is to achieve Harajuku-worthy style with my own twist.

Anyway, here are some designs...

pining

This is VERY belated. But I drew this a while ago and thought maybe I should actually post it to it's namesake...

Also, I am very soon getting a hair cut. Not going to try and describe it, my wordy skills are not on my side today. But it's a change. ^^

ALSO, I was going to order some GORGEOUS Bodyline socks (knee-high, pale pink, with lace and ribbons) but the postage was too expensive (wah!). I shall try not to miss what I never had. :'c

Oh, and I still want to go to Harajuku. Shall post another pining-for-Japan type dealio soon.

Songs for Sleep.

Lucky Ones - Lana Del Rey

It's Hard to Get Around the Wind - Alex Turner

Above are the two best songs (in my opinion) for getting to sleep from the two artists I am newly obsessed with.
Lana's album has a mix, really, of upbeat songs and slower ballads, but they all have a certain tragic, romantic quality that makes me positively drunk with emotion whenever I hear it. Million Dollar Man has that really classic, super-romantic croon that Lana does so well, and the chorus of Lucky Ones I think just sounds like a lullaby. I think it's a really sweet song.

And Alex Turner's soundtrack for Submarine is so perfect for both the film and the book that I can scarcely believe it; I'm not usually a huge fan of soundtracks on their own, I usually focus more on the film (and also, sometimes when a soundtrack is not that good, it just ruins the atmosphere of the film for me), but with this particular one it just matches so perfectly with the film. I don't know if I noticed as much before I listened to the soundtrack on its own, but now that I have, I think that no other music would have been as well-suited to the film as Alex Turner's is.

Love and submarines,
Sinead

I actually enjoy sport when a pen's at hand.

I sat and sketched this whilst watching The Olympics in this routine - Draw, cheer for Bradley Wiggins, and repeat. But anyway I thought this diagram may give you an idea of what I like to adorn myself with excluding shoes which need their own diagram.
Hope you like it
