Sinead and I have decided to change the name our blog, as we don't think it is a true representation of our blog anymore. (it never was really, the name 'flapjack owls' means very little anyway) We haven't yet decided on a new name for our blog but we shall endeavour to find one that means a little bit more.

you're the glitter in the dark

hiii, so umm life update- well I have finished my GCSE's which means I have also finished secondary school. It hasn't quite sunk in that I've actually left, yet, but I think as soon as I start to feel anxiety for starting college It will.

To celebrate the end of our secondary school careers,Last saturday me and Sinead had a party. It included a lot of jelly, pimms and a giant jenga set.

I have been meaning to post some photos of my room for a while now, but unfortunately I am a very bad blogger :(

This was meant to be a jewellery stand, but I just put any old miscellany on it now.

its bad poetry day!!

I've been writing quite a lot of poetry at the moment.although I haven't been keen on sharing poetry recently, but I've decided to share this poem as i'm quite happy with it. About a week ago Me and my sister decided to take some photos as the weather was really nice I think they kinda match the aesthetic of the poem. Anyway here goes....

Her.

She could float

I envied that.

she wound herself up,

in colour, light and

pretty dresses

hiding,masking, exposing

posing,glaring, gleaming

dancing her way through.

I stood back,

being a part.

while she sang to the world

I enveloped myself

in a safe mystery

I did not want to share.

just to clarify this poem is about no one in particular, its an accumulation of references to events and feelings, of envy, love and friendship

S-s-summertime, summertime sadness

I think summer may have started.

The weather has been absolutely perfect for the last few days, (although it probably won't last) I have 4 exams left and then I have finished secondary school, FOREVER.

It's quite tough at the moment with all the revision and bleugh and I haven't blogged for a while, sorry. But I promise I will blog regularly in the summer.
