overlooking the river

Hey, i'm really, really sorry that I haven't blogged in such a long time, but y'know school and work got in the way.
On sunday Sinead and I met up and went to a food fest in our town's market. It was super busy and we could barely breath, but there were some really good food-based stalls and we basically wondered around smelling delicious smells for a bit. I then purchased a apple and pork pasty (which was beyond delicious) Sinead bought some samosas and we sat on a wall looking at the river, like the loiterers we are.

A great piece of advertising at the food fair.

We then took the bus to Sinead's house and  took some photos for Sinead's art project.
After that we watched about a million vines of cats and people doing weird crab dances.

enjoy you crazy lovely people xx

lots of love

Oh.I wish I could be a cat.

I have finally got round to creating myself an 8tracks account, so I can share with you playlists more easily. I've made a mix of songs that are getting me through awkward 3 hour breaks between lessons and endless homework.

††LONELY†PROM††

suGary sWeet. those two words best sum up mine and Sophie's day. We are making a music video, so we took some videos of suburbia and pinkness and glitter and being a false, degenerate prom queen. the song is all about flitting between aesthetics and the roller coasters of teenage confidence levels.
here are some snapshots from today...

so that's a little teaser.. you'll be seeing the whole video in the next couple of days you lovely lot (;

though she needs you more than she loves you.

Today I listened exclusively to I Know it's Over by The Smiths. All the Morrissey feels overwhelmed me (this may be confusing to those who don't know me; I adore his voice and he used to be totally beautiful and all, but his personality sucks lol so I often become confused and just everything when I listen to his music).

This video made me laugh because of Mozza's writhing and how he ends up with his shirt over his face at the end and still manages to just about make it angsty and cool -although if it was anyone else, they would look quite ridiculous. Also Jeff Buckley covered it and that version makes me want to cry out all my teen-gurl tears in one go.

So anyway, here are some pictures of a dress that recently came into my possession. It's a handmade 50s sugar-pink gem of a thing and I think I'm definitely in love with it.

that weird spidery thing to the left is my music stand btw

So that was the more positive part of my day. I shan't bore with the details.

Bye gatitos

pretty in pink

I have to admit I haven't yet seen Pretty in Pink. But after a quick google images trawl I am already in love with it. I plan to dress more like both of the characters pictured above ^

This means EVEN MORE of my fireman's jacket (which I don't think I've even put a picture of on here, weird because its AWESOME and I love it), clashing patterns, lots of lovely layers, random lacey things, tacky kids' jewellery like plastic pearls and stuff, and hats. I got some print-screens from the trailer;

dis guy looks fab. I could fall in love with dis guy.

pearlies

loving the pleated shirt and pinkness waistcoat, an brooch.

...but my laptop's sound doesn't work, so the watching it was a bit surreal. It intrigues me though, I'll definitely watch it soon.

I made my River Island tights into leggings because they were depressingly and definitely NOT one-size.
Got a headscarf thing for 50p in Scotland.
Christmas jumper yay.
Pink fluff rug also yay.
Various pretty pink things in this photo. Rug, pillows, headscarf, walls, dress. I'll do a proper pink-themed post tomorrow.

Night all,
Sinead

Things that have happened.

Yesterday I had a day out with our dear friend Holly, who will hopefully be writing a few pieces for our blog soon.

My outfit consisted of my yellow shirt, a grey patterned pullover from a vintage stall at Llama festival, my red shorts and Doc Marten shoes.

Patrick Wolf, my current hair-spiration, and a better look at my new hair. Ta daa!

I made a Frida Kahlo/Lana Del Rey-style headdress thing with fake flowers. ~

I also spent AGES gluing individual pink beads and random tacky pink things onto an alice band. It's my kitsch little Crown Of Pinkness.

Today I haven't really done anything noteworthy. Except some maths. Which I am proud of, because I HATE and am AWFUL at maths. Oh and I made a video of another one of my songs, but I can't upload it yet because the camera ran out of battery and I need to charge it. Not that you care, probably... I'll shut up now. Just thought seeing as I'm temporarily in charge of this blog, I should keep it full of new stuff.

~Bye!~

Pretty pink

I decided to gather a small collection of pink-themed things and arrange them on my frilly floral bed.

The glasses frames are those mentioned in the previous post, the necklace I created by putting a pair of baby scissors on a chain; I got them as part of a mini stationary kit years ago. The Barbie camera was a present for my 7th birthday and has been drifting around as a random possession of no real use recently. The painting  is part of a triptych I did a little while ago, sort of self-portrait based. I did it when I'd just started getting really into pastel things and became obsessed with the idea of pink or lilac hair.

Anyway, bye.
