its bad poetry day!!

I've been writing quite a lot of poetry at the moment.although I haven't been keen on sharing poetry recently, but I've decided to share this poem as i'm quite happy with it. About a week ago Me and my sister decided to take some photos as the weather was really nice I think they kinda match the aesthetic of the poem. Anyway here goes.... 

Her.

She could float 

I envied that. 

she wound herself up,

in colour, light and 

pretty dresses

hiding,masking, exposing

posing,glaring, gleaming

dancing her way through.  

I stood back, 

being a part. 

while she sang to the world 

 I enveloped myself 

in a safe mystery 

I did not want to share. 

just to clarify this poem is about no one in particular, its an accumulation of references to events and feelings, of envy, love and friendship

S-s-summertime, summertime sadness

I think summer may have started.

 The weather has been absolutely perfect for the last few days, (although it probably won't last) I have 4 exams left and then I have finished secondary school, FOREVER. 

It's quite tough at the moment with all the revision and bleugh and I haven't blogged for a while, sorry. But I promise I will blog regularly in the summer.

anyways I decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and document a summer outfit, I am sorry about my face i'm awful at posing..

a night to remember? part 2

Like I said in my last post, me and Sinead had a very lovely prom night. We played 'how many times can we swear at each other without anyone noticing across the dinner table'. We danced around the girls with massive dresses. We kicked off our heels and danced until 11: 30pm ON A SCHOOL NIGHT!

I turn into a real romantic on new years eve.

 So... If you Live in Britain we are a few hours away from 2013! 

 oh what a year its been.

I have been to many exotic and wonderful places and I feel extremely lucky about how much I have travelled this year.

I went to Uganda and I guess it changed my life.

This year it was definitely all about the flower crowns. Next year I might branch out into vegetable crowns.

Lana Del Rey has made this year for me, her look, her music, her attitude. She is just amazing. 

This blog has prompted me to draw, paint, collage a lot more and create the kind of art I want to create.

oh.. and Best Coast, especially this song 

I hope this blog has brought me and Sinead together as friends, but who knows? ( rhetorical question )

So.. Have a brilliant new years eve and a hopefully a 2013 filled with more flower crowns and art and great music and travel .

This is the very beautiful Sophie. In her very beautiful flower crown. I like this picture but didn't use it in my art project because it wasn't focused enough and I'm fussy. 

I think she has a very certain charisma and fairy-like air in this picture (and always).

My outfit today.

 It consists of my trusty DIY flower crown, pastel skull necklace, mohair pale pink ballet cardigan, minty 60s nightshirt thing with lace edging, white 50s circle skirt and pale pink tights. 

And, of course, my lovely creepers to add an edge to my girliest-of-girly outfit.

Things I bought at low low prices.

o ma gah, sorry about my chin

Today I took part in a car boot sale.  ( where you can sell things from.. you've guessed it; a car boot! ) To raise money for a charity trip to Uganda. I did do a lot of selling but when I could I snuck off looking for awesome stuff you can get at bargain prices such as.......A Pink Floyd t-shirt for 50p, a wicker picnic box that I'm going to use as a hand bag for £1, cute barrettes that where 50p each, A Terry Pratchett Book for a £1, some fake flowers for £1 and a Alice band for 25p; which I used to make a flower crown which turned out really well considering it only cost around £1.25! My sister also bought Mean girls for a £1, all in all a very fruitful day of shopping and for a fraction of the prize. 

p.s- we made about £20 profit :(

Two days ago me and sinead decided to take some photographs for a project in Art class. On a slightly unrelated note my mother bought a glue gun so I was able to finally jump on the flower crown making bandwagon the evidence of this is above!
