green tartan and witchcraft

hiii, I'm so sorry I haven't blogged in such a long time. College is pretty full-on at the moment and on  top of that I've just started my new job,so things are a little hectic. Anyway in my  (online shopping) life... 

I purchased this skirt a few months a go, and it came down to my ankles. My grandmother very kindly offered to take it up for me.  Its super cute and really warm. 

I bought this top at ASOS in the sale, it has this really witchy astrology symbol on it that I'm kinda in love with. 

This is my face. I didn't purchase it from ASOS. 

I also bought Vampire weekend's new album- 'modern vampires of the city' as you may have gathered I am a huggggeee vampire weekend fan, so of course I was quite excited when i received it. The album is super dreamy, totally different from their other albums, and omgawd Ezra's voice. Anyway... this is one of my favourite tracks from the album

I need to stop biting my nails, it's getting painful and ridiculous. This is why schools should allow nail polish - aside from the fact it in no way distracts from education, it helps people like me stop biting their nails, simultaneously helping them look awesome.

Now, this is totally separate from that random snippet of annoyance above ^

Yesterday I had to travel to school just for a 5 minute meeting with my tutor. I don't even think I have to mention that this was a completely pointless enterprise.

Buuut, a plus is that I bought some random things, yaaay.

Flower-crown-making things, i.e. many fake flowers and a glue gun.

Family Knits

These AMAZINGly 80s knitting patterns were in a charity shop. The Family Knits one was a pound and it has looooads of patterns in it, and the other one is just for the jumper shown in the picture and it was 20p.

I'm planning to make most - if not all - of my christmas presents this year. Flower crowns and other sort-of-impractical-but-pretty things are top of my to-do list.

Yesterday Sophie and I went on a charity shop trawl and got some little treasures. I bought a green tartan shirt thing with shiny buttons and shoulderpads for £4 (I splashed out for vintage, sue me), a hideous/beautiful cat figurine for 50p, a book about Marilyn Monroe for £2.95 and a necklace (but I left the necklace in my purse, and I left my purse on a bus, wah).

In other news, I somehow fixed my old digital camera which is FAB (well not so much fixed as turned it on and it magically worked). Also I'm still working on my zine. I now need to buy a new ink roll thing for my typewriter so I can write the stuff in my zine.

I've been writing music like a child possessed. 

I made Sophie buy Drop Dead Fred.

My emotions have been EVERYWHERE this weekend.

Badly painted nails

 Today I went shopping to buy toiletries for when I go to Uganda......

a very very very comfortable and snugly jumper 

I ended up, taking about an hour to choose my outfit which consisted of: A Pink linen skirt from Topshop, my Pink Floyd T-shirt that I got from a car boot, a home-made detachable collar, and black tights. The Cardigan you see in the photograph was purchased in a charity shop today. I also purchased a very marvellous lip pen and some gold hoop earring. I also had a very nice strawberry smoothie in Mark and Spencers.

I found some pictures of Sophie and I's latest charity shop trawl, so, although obscenely belated, here they are. ~

In other news, today I bought a wonderful blouse from the shop above. ^ It's sooo pretty, I love love love it. The label says Jaeger, which I later discovered is usually expensive... It was £4 when I got it, ha. The sleeves are quite madly puffy, so I decided it would work better if I rolled the sleeves up. Here it is:

I also bought Animal Farm in the same shop, for £1, and was delighted to discover that inside someone had pencilled their name and 'December 1952' on the inside cover. It excited me greatly.
