should I feel this calm?

I know my blogging has been pretty lack lustre at the moment, but I promise I will be an exciting and interesting blogger after I've finished my exams!! I will-

                    Document my outfits, more.
 Make better playlists.
Be funny.

Anyway, I have purchased some very pretty things in the last few weeks, and I thought I should document them.

I purchased a typewriter , a  cat purse for £3 from a fancy dress shop, Grimes - vision ( which is the most perfect album ) and oh comely

the best purchase of all time (i'm not exaggerating) has to be this mini typewriter I got for £3 in a charity shop, not only is adorably pocket-sized the colour matches my room perfectly.

yesterday me and Sinead went into town, to look in party shops, for a joint party we are having in the summer, I decided to treat myself to Oh comely, The latest issue is especially beautiful, with lovely whimsical illustrations and photographs -

A few weeks ago I purchased this skirt from Topshop, Its got to be one of favourite items of clothing. It has a really cool shape, and the fluorescent flowers are just so cool.

Lastly, This song is just so beautiful,.

Lots of love

so you're ill, huh?

I'm ill. This, for me, means my Hello Kitty dressing gown, woollen socks and blankets in abundance.

It also means I'll be able to do lots of blogging, yay ~ *cough* yay ~

First of all, here is a list of things that are good to do when you're ill.

  1. Eat/drink soup: It's a classic for ill or wintery times. A good and easy recipe for soup is Bouillon stock with boiling water in a mug. Takes like 3 minutes to make, it's genius.
  2. Surround yourself with duvets, pillows, tissues (and cats, whenever possible): Soft things are always good. And cats are extra good because they're company too.
  3. Sleep in the daytime: BECOME CAT. Some people find it hard to sleep in the daytime, but I find it really helps sometimes. If sleeping is not an option, just arrange yourself in mounds of blankets and fluffy things and relaaax(I personally love hibernating and being nocturnal, its so fun).
  4. Have a nice bath: the nicest baths are to be had at night time. Wait til it's completely dark outside, then light lots of pretty candles and DON'T FALL ASLEEP IN THE BATH TUB. DANGEROUS.
  5. Paint or draw: sometimes using a creative outlet can distract from being ill. Try and stick to painting happy things (e.g. unicorns, rainbows) to encourage your illness to go away.
  6. Sew/knit/crochet: If you can't go to school, then you may as well be productive in some way. And this way you can make more warm things to help you get better (une example; making crochet squares and then joining them into a biiiig cosy quilt).

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go and do a few of these.
Bye kittens

some 'me' things

So, this week has been good.

On Friday I was told by my viola teacher that I have the musical ability and knowledge to become a grade 5 player like NOW, which was super exciting and surreal seeing as the last exam I did was grade 2 violin (ha).
This would mean I could probably get onto the music course I want to get into for A-level, YAY.

Also, this weekend Sophie and I were very productive (see video post previously) and I dressed up like some kind of fluffy marshmallow.

And a minute ago my cat was asleep and it was fun listening to the little noises she made in her sleep, and seeing her twitch when I tickled her ears.

This has been a slightly pointless post
Bye

I like how the pages click.

This includes a quote badass quote from Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing.

I am wildly protective over my sketch/stick stuff down pad. I bar anyone but my best friends and my mother from looking in it. Today when I had to show a homework I did in it to my art teacher I felt like seizing my pad and running away with it, as soon as she had seen my homework. Its got to that point ( which I love ) when the pages click when you move them and the spine is rather fragile.

Why cats are some of the best friends you can have.

Note - I am actually asleep here.
Ever since I began listening to The xx in my room, Mimi (my cat, whose birthday happens to be today) has started sleeping on my bed. I like to think she has musical preferences.
I have woken several times to find her on my pillow. Although temperamental and changeable, she can be loyal and sweet too. Cats have personalities that you could liken to human ones.

My mum's cat, Elfine, who died this year at the grand age of 20. She was very in touch with people and the world, and a special creature to have around. Although silent in terms of speech we can understand, cats definitely communicate on a sub-conscious level, I think.

It's comforting to have company that are independent, in some ways. They aren't usually too bothered with what you're doing, they just get on with their own thing (usually sleeping or eating), which means you can just be aware of their presence without having to constantly acknowledge it.

Meow,
Sinead
