I'm not sure if you know this, internet voyagers, but in 23 days I'm going to Uganda for 10 days, I have had my necessary injections, bought quite a few pairs of beige trousers and also am starting to worry that I might forget to take my malaria tablets while I'm there.

'So why are you going to Uganda?' I hear you ask. Well..........Perhaps a year and a half ago, I was asked by a teacher at school if I was interested in raising money for a charity called Amigos and also going to Uganda, I said: 'Yes Please' So here I am after a year and a half of fundraising after doing more than few car boots, a smattering of cream teas and a few dinner parties with a respectable amount of money raised to go to Uganda. I am excited, I'm excited and nervous and scared but mostly excited. Whilst in Uganda we will be staying at a place called Kira Farm which educates young people in vocational skills, ( what I tell anyone who asks ) to see where the money raised by Amigos goes. We also are going on safari which is something I have wanted to do since I was a wee kid.
Just writing this has made me excited.
lots of kisses
